Multi-source, open archiving
"Multi-site" data center approach provides synchronized data and database protection with multiple levels of redundancy for remote disaster recovery. Both clinical and non-clinical applications can be supported through standards-based interfaces (DICOM, FTP, NFS, CIFD, HL7, etc); with open API for interfaces to authorized third-party systems. Information can be shared among participating organizations or kept locally.

Carestream RIM provides a virtual patient-centric information repository and can execute unique VIParchive Storage Plans that can be clinically based to ensure region-wide rapid access performance and long-term information preservation for huge volumes of data per year.
Highly available and secure architecture
Redundant data center architecture is accessible from any single site. Information is replicated across the centers through automated execution of VIParchive Storage Plans. Secure information transfer occurs via VPN with connectivity designed to support network and hardware-based failures that ensures availability in the event of a single site's failure and upon recovery, the sites automatically synchronize.
